While on a trip to Paris with his fiancée’s family, a nostalgic screenwriter finds himself mysteriously going back to the 1920s every day at midnight. There he meets Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, Gertrude Stein, and Pablo Picasso, among others. The characterization of Hemingway, played by American actor Corey Stoll, is warm and funny. The film is recommended viewing for anyone interested in Paris during a literary golden age. Allen won the 2012 Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for the film.
